Hike

We went to visit Tiffany on Friday while the kids were out of school! We ate lunch with her and then headed over to a fun little fishing lake that has a kind of hidden waterfall area. Of course with the lack of rain the waterfall was just a tiny little trickle. But the kids had a blast hiking around. Even Simon got to join the fun by hitching a ride on momma!

The middle bottom picture up above here has a little tiny frog sitting on the log. Titus really wanted to catch. But everytime he got close he kind of wasn't so sure he wanted to catch it =) So somehow it just kept hopping away =)

The kids would just barrel through the grass and trees. There were a couple close calls when they got a little closer to the edge than a momma would like. But thankfully no one fell off the side of the trail! And Zethan even sweet talked his way into getting a piggy back ride a few times from his aunt Tiffy! Even going up and down the giant hill. Well, really it was a "mountain" to the kids!

And the trip was even educational with the kids discovering some seemingly alive mussels! (That is what Lillie is holding in the top left corner picture of the second set) They broke them open and got to see what they looked like! I didn't/don't know much about mussels so my ever-so-handy iphone came to the rescue and I just googled mussels right there at the lake and could tell the kids a few things about them!

Puppy News

We had a cute little brown doggy named Copper, who once inspired this post.

He was a fun little doggy, whom the kids loved and he really was a good dog. The kids thought it was hilarious to go fast on the four wheeler and he would chase beside us and his little legs would just go so fast! It was quite comical.

Anyway, he got into the bad habit of chasing cars and a few weeks ago, he got a little too close. It was pretty sad but we know that out in the country dogs don't seem to last too long. This is the third dog we have had hit by a car.

But alas, 2 weeks ago, we were all surprised when out pops a little brown puppy from the very white female English Setter that we have. Haha! We had no idea that little Copper was a daddy =) So his legacy lives on in the form of a very oddly mixed breed of a puppy. You see Copper himself was a Corgi/Dachshund mix. So there you go. A new breed! She is pretty cute I guess. But I think all puppies are cute. It will be interesting to see what she turns out to look like!

The kids very much like her! And since she is the only puppy she is getting roly-poly!

Love My Boys

The boys just love to love on Simon. They just thought it was the coolest thing to have him lay down on the floor with them and share their pillows.

Simon was not quite so excited about the deal.

Zethan is holding the pacifier in his mouth. I just can't believe how sweet Zethan is with his little brother. Zethan absolutely LOVES being a big brother now.

The older boys are sharing Simon.

Still trying to keep that paci in his mouth and be a cheeseball all at the same time.

Titus was holding Simon's hand in both of his. So sweet and innocent. He didn't even know I was taking his picture.

And a funny baby face! Then Zethan told me he wanted to "burp" Simon. So i put a rag on his shoulder and helped him hold him and pat his back. Zethan just giggled and giggled and thought that was so funny! I didnt get a picture since i was helping him hold him.

Then Titus wanted a turn "burping" him so I let him try it out. It wasnt as easy as they thought it would be!

And they have been watching a few extra movies this week because I have an infection by one of my wisdom teeth and who would have thought one little thing could cause so much pain.

Tomorrow morning I am scheduled to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed, so that's gonna be a fun party! Ha! It is days like these that I am so so thankful Simon is not high maintenance!
