Our little {big} fella sure is doing great these days! We had had a sonogram back in November that showed that his tumor was continuing to get smaller. Praise the Lord! It was just over 1 cm. Which is down from 3 cm when he was born. They said they will follow it until they can no longer find it. Which certainly seems like that will happen soon!
We never heard back from the oncologist about when our next check-up is. But assuming it is the same time frame as it was between the last two sonograms, he should be due for another one here anytime. I am just kind of putting it off since the flu is so bad this year, I don't want to take a healthy baby into the hospital and come out with all sorts of germs. And he is just doing so so so well!! If there were any signs or anything out of the ordinary you can bet that I'd be getting him right in there!
He is just a laid back, sweet, fun little baby. He is rolling around, from his back to his tummy and his tummy to his back. He likes to be able to sit up-with help- and see what is going on in the world around him. We have tried rice cereal a few times but he can't seem to figure out how to swallow it. It just comes right back out of his mouth over and over again. Maybe he just doesn't like it??
I just thank Jesus over and over for blessing us with Simon. He is SO amazing. I just cannot fathom why he chose to give us such a wonderful blessing!! I told Matt that I just love this little baby stage that he is in and don't want him to get so big so fast but I dare not tell Simon not to grow up, because there was a very real chance that he might not have had the chance to grow up! And we are so thankful that God is giving him the chance!!
Thank you to all of you who have been praying for our family! I'll try to do better with posts!!
