Titus Talk + random

Titus is still in the stage of talking where it pretty much sounds like baby talk. It is super cute! I'll try and see if I can type it like he says it. He usually justs gets the first sound of the word. We can't always figure out what he is saying but most of the time either Matt or I can decipher what he is saying.

(We have been catching quite a few snakes in our basement so Titus is just a little paranoid)

Whenever someone goes down to the basement he hollers down to them, "Wa, ow fo nakes!" (Watch out for snakes)

At the grocery store, I told him we need to buy some snacks for Daddy's lunches.
"I yie Dada!!" (I like Dada)

And randomly while we are walking down the cereal aisle.
"That scarewee, that scarwee!" (As he is kind of quivering)
Me-"What is?"
"Cooby-doo scarewee! I yon't yie cooby-doo! It scarewee!"
(Scoody-doo scary. I don't like scooby-doo. It's scary)

And he calls Zethan, baby yee. (Baby Z)!!!

When Lillie came downstairs at church after Awana, I told her "Hi, sweetie!" So Titus copies me and in a little girly voice he says "Hi, veetie" Amy and I just busted up laughing at him. It was so funny!

And if you ask him his full name he says "Ti-ti Matt-yu" (Titus Matthew)

But he is just so cute when he talks! I know he will grow out of his baby talk eventually but right now I am glad he isn't always my Big Boy=)

And this has nothing to do with how he talks but today when I went to the kids' room, I found that he and Lillie had taken Titus's bottom bunk mattress and put in on the floor and they were jumping from Lillie's top bunk onto the mattress on the floor.

Let's see, what other random things have happened lately? Well, as I was backing up yesterday to go to Awana and ran over the kids' little red wagon. It really deserves a picture but I don't want to go out in the rain right now. It totally smashed it. Like it was just made of silly putty or something. Just smooshed it. Sad. But it looked so funny all crumpled like that. But still sad. They use that all the time. Used.

Oh, and Aunt Karla, can you see Lillie playing with the puppy in the background? I have a few more pictures I need to put up of them playing with it. But they still love it! Thanks again!

And I finally finished painting the kitchen today. Now I need an expert to come and put all the fun little decorative touches in it. Ahem, Natalie, are you free soon? =)

Also I am trying my hand at making those scrabble tile pendants. I'll let ya know how they turn out.

And a few other little crafty things I'm puttering around with. Mostly just trying to avoid folding laundry and doing the dishes. You, know, the boring stuff=)

So that turned into a totally random post but I feel kind of random today... maybe cuz it's a rainy, lazy day...

Lillie our photographer

For Lillie's 4th birthday last March she got a kids digital camera. Lately she has been having fun with it so I thought I would post a few pictures she has taken. The picture quality is terrible. It says it is supposed to be able to make the resolution better once you get it onto your computer but I haven't been able to figure out how to make them any better. These I chose are probably the clearest ones out of all of them.

I guess it is a good spy camera for momma=) She caught Titus in the act of doing something naughty=)

And she captured Zethan's first time trying rice cereal. He wasn't too impressed.

And she got Daddy being silly!

It has little pictures you can put onto the camera when you take the picture. She likes to take lots of silly ones. Lillie with a big nose and mustache.

And I'm pretty sure she took this one of herself. I think she has watched others take pictures of themselves like this=) Monkey see, monkey do!

So there is a look at our budding photographer=) Since I lack anything better to post=)

Berean Country Fair

This past Saturday was the Berean Country Fair. It was lots of fun and I think attendance was up this year compared to the last few years! We had a lot of fun hanging out together and selling our stuff!
Here I am getting ready to go. I don't usually look this chipper in the morning, but I was excited to see what the day would hold=) And I was having a good hair day, ha! I think it only lasted an hour though.

Here is Lillie and Zethan all bundled up and ready to go.
I had to wake ALL 3 kids up to leave.
That should be illegal.

Lillie and Aunt Nattie posing with puppy. Creative name, huh? Puppy.

Lillie begged to decorate a pumpkin. The booth was right across from us. Aunt Tiffy graciously helped Lillie decorate it with eyes and a nose and some ears.

Here is the finished product. Oh so cute=) I think she named it. And something other than pumpkin. But I can't remember what it was.

And of course as soon as little brother, Tidy, saw Lillie's pumpkin he had to go make one. So Aunt Tiffy got to go help create another little friend!

Aren't they so cute=) Later, Titus was carrying his around by the stem and it broke off. We had to tape it on to console him.

And here is Krista getting ready to start the day. She did super with her aprons! Everyone LOVED them!

We all had fun but it was a long day. Especially for the kids. Lillie got to play at a friends house for a little so that helped! Thanks Vera=)

And at one point Titus was making a friend with the lady next to us, but he got a little too friendly and thought he could have her Mountain Dew, so she grabbed it before he could take a drink. (Which was definitely fine! No germs please.) But Titus was so tired it just made him so unhappy and he just kind of crumpled. (The lady felt really bad for making him cry after she was just making a friend) I told him I had one over by us that he could have. So he excitedly went to take a drink and he dropped it. He picked it up as fast as he could but of course he picked it up upside down. It spilled everywhere needless to say. He just sat down on the steps and cried. I'm sure he was thinking, "This is just NOT my day. First I have to be woke up, dragged out my warm bed, to a CRAFT show, then my pumpkin broke and now this" But he got to spend most of the day with his papa, so he really was happy for the most part. He's pretty tight with his papa.

Oh, and something funny Lillie asked, while pointing to the stage, "When is the show gonna start? Isn't this a craft show?"

Little Fox Boy

The little fox is after something.....
We went over to my sister Kayla's house the other day and Titus thought it would be fun to scare the girls. He put on this fox skin, hat thing that they have and went downstairs to see if he could scare Lillie and Emily. They were hiding under the hide-a-bed couch that was pulled out. But he found them! That was he is peeking at on the floor. I think their giggles gave them away=)

Grrr, I'm gonna get you! But he was laughing so hard I don't think they were too scared=)

Little Helpers

Last Friday we spent the evening getting all the last minute details put together for the craft fair. We had lots of help. Titus is helping Daddy put the display together and Lillie is helping put hair bows onto the cards. What help!

And Lillie is modeling the head bands that I am selling this year along with the hair bows. She is quite proud of the one she gets to wear!

And these next pictures are the booth we had at Whitewater. We will be having another booth at the Berean Country Fair this Saturday the 1oth. This is always a fun fair with the German food that is served. I love verenika!!

Aren't those little Tutus adorable! Those are something Natalie made! So fun! Lillie can't wait to get hers.

And lest you think that it is ALL girl stuff, it is NOT! There are little cloth shoes, burp cloths, bibs, binky bibs, onesies, diaper/wipes carriers, tag-a-long toys, blankets and other fun things for the little man! Also for mommy this year, there are some earrings for sale! So come check it out!
There are lots of other booths as well! I'm sure you'll be able to find something you just have to have. My in-laws have their Kansas Country Blessings booth, and my sister will have her debut with her Little Apron Strings booth featuring adult and kid size aprons plus some other fun things. Also, I think this year there will be new activities for kids to participate in. There is something for the whole family. Food for Dad (okay, for Mom too), Shopping for Mom, and activities for the kids! See you there!

Saggy Baggy

Wow, I don't even know what to say about this poor dog. But he was the strangest looking dog I have ever seen. He looked semi-normal from the front and then as he walked by Cindy and I looked at each other and died laughing. We couldn't stop laughing. Then she thought we should get a picture so I could share it on here. And also so Gary and Jarrod could appreciate it. They would. So I kind of followed it for awhile trying to get a picture that would show its true colors.

If you don't think it is funny, I assure you, you would have laughed your head off if you had seen it in person. Oh man, I am laughing just thinking about it.

I sure hope I don't look like that when I get older. But at least people would get a good laugh from it. I can't finish typing because I am laughing so hard. His backside is so hysterical. I mean, what kind of tail is that anyway!!?? I'm sure his owners love him just the way he is.

Matt + Kendra 10.02.2004

(Sorry for the picture quality. It had to be scanned in)

Last Friday, Matt and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. I meant to have a post then, but it was kind of a busy day. So now, I am posting about it! We got married on October 2, 2004. And to be honest, I don't even remember the time. Ha! We had an outdoor wedding at Greg and Beth Claassen's home. They have a beautiful home and yard. The setting was absolutely beautiful. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Which in October it could have gone either way. But God blessed us so much and gave us a beautiful day. It has been such a journey with Matt and I love him so much. God brought us together for a purpose and we are amazed at His blessings in our life and in our family.

For our BIG five year anniversary we celebrated by riding in the tractor together! (Matt actually got the second band to my wedding ring last year so he was off the hook for this year!) With no kids!! Then we went to Sonic and got a Mocha Chip Java Chiller. Delicious!! It was a great way to celebrate. It isn't too often we get out without any kids! I actually surprised Matt by going out to the field. They have been so busy lately. I called his brother Andy to see where they were and his parents kept the kids for me. Then when Gary realized it was our anniversary he let Matt go early! I think Cindy may have had something to do with that realization=)
Meg Duerksen came out and took some family photos of us this summer. I especially loved the pictures that she took of Matt and I. Matt doesn't always like to get his picture taken. Well, neither do I for that matter, but Meg took some really great ones.

I love you, Matt, so much. You are such a wonderful husband and father and you work so hard for your family. I am so glad God made us for each other!

We love being together and we can't wait to see what God has planned for the rest our lives! Happy Anniversary Babe!
