The actual 4th of July

We got to go to a very cool fireworks display put on by a cousin of a friend of ours. They go ALL OUT for the 4th! It was so neat! The kids first enjoyed some desserts.

And Lillie and Titus and Zethan all fought over who got to push this little miss around in her stroller. This is the daughter of our friends Jaron and Amy. She is the cutest little thing! All dolled up in red, white and blue.

Here is the beginning of the fireworks show. They started out pretty close to where we were sitting and shot them out over this little lake on their property.

It even had sandy beaches. The kids thought it was great.

Playing around on the little wall that keeps the sand in.

Some more friends and family enjoying the show!

And Titus watching them from his comfy spot in the sand! And for some reason I made them take baths before we left home. They definitely got a second one when they got home again.

And Matt watching the show.

Here are some pictures I tried to get of the awesome fireworks that they shot out over the lake. They would go into the water then pop back up and some would float like this with little fountains and fire and some would actually shoot back up into the sky.

It was hard to get a picture that really showed how awesome they were. I had never seen any like them.

And all the different colors and everything were so neat! The fireworks were set to music/talking as well. Very impressive!

And after the show there were giant sparklers! The kids thought they were great!

Trying out the night setting on the camera.

All in all it was a very fun day and weekend! We are blessed to have so much family around and friends who let us join their parties!

Family 4th of July

Better late than never, right? I haven't kept up with posting very well, so now I have several to post all at once. Here is what happened the next day, after the last wedding post. We had my immediate family over for fireworks. All 24 of us.

Zethan and Caden fighting over the wagon. These two boys sure know how to push each other's buttons.

Matt's cheesy pose.

My brother, Konnor, wanting to know if we can start lighting fireworks yet. He is the one who loved lighting them the most. (Notice the two little boys still fighting over the wagon in the background.)

My brother Kylan is standing there in the red shirt and my two brothers-in-law, Austin and John are telling big stories there in the chairs =)

Okay, you two, enough fighting.

There, that's better. Caden, pull your cousin around =)

Everyone lined up just waiting for it to get dark. We did do a few smoke bombs and some snakes and a few parachute fireworks while we waited.

Everyone is so enthralled!

I was in charge of the lighting of the fireworks but Konnor really really really wanted to help out. He is kneeling there in the red and white shirt lighting something. And again, if you notice in the background, I think it so cute, Grammy and Papa holding the little ones! My mom had Zethan and my Dad has Jessa, the second to youngest in the group.

And they are all watching some snakes grow there in the rocks.

We had a great evening and it even cooled off that day! So that was nice! And for the most part no one got hurt but one of the very last fireworks got knocked over and shot of fiery ball right at Kinsley's thigh! He hooped and hollered but was fine! Pretty funny actually!

And the cutest quote of the night goes to Everet, who, after seeing some fireworks shoot up and then noticing a star in the sky said,
"Hey look, a firework got stuck in the sky!"

July 2, 2011

This is a post about Andrew & Rebekah's wedding day! I didn't really take very many pictures, running after an energetic 2 year old doesn't allow for pictures real easily.

We started out the day by getting our hair done! Lillie was getting a very fancy up-do! Unfortunately she is a very picky little girl and hardly cracked a smile the whole time.

Please note the sour face on Lillie as she is looking in the mirror. Apparently it was not looking like what she had in her mind that it would look like.

I made her let me take a picture of it when we got home, but she was just crying and crying and did NOT like it so I told her I would try and fix it a little so she would like it.

Now that's better. She is all smiles! I let it hang down a little and thankfully it was so curly that it was very forgiving to work with. I felt bad for all the work Corie did to make it look so beautiful and then Lillie didn't even like it!

Also Lillie got to pick out some clip on earrings for the wedding. She thought that was great! And her pretty shoes are from Target. Her dress I ordered from ebay! Ha! It was only like $28 with shipping.

Titus hanging out with Nat and Garrett. He was having fun!

Lillie sitting with Grandma & Grandpa Stucky, waiting for pictures.

The first of only 2 pictures I got with just Matt and I. Period. All day. Any camera. Sad.

Zethan hanging out snacking on fruit snacks while waiting for pictures. You would have never known he had been sick all night with a bad reaction to a cashew.

And the second and last picture Matt and I got together. I was really hoping to get a good picture with him. With him being all dressed up and I had a new dress and Corie did my hair as well. But it was just so busy of a day that it didn't happen.

Grandpa Veer is holding Lillie and her cousin. Actually, technically, her first cousin once removed.

And a picture from the ceremony.

Then a shot of the boys as we drove from the wedding to the reception. They were passed out!
And that was the last of the pictures I got of the day. None from the reception. I can't wait to see all the pictures from her photographer. The ones I have seen so far are GORGEOUS!
